The Volkswagen Jetta was up against some tough competition with the Subaru Outback, winner the last 4 years. But the Jetta was able to dethrone the champ by using the lowest maintenance and operating costs in its class, along with better than average depreciation. These results for the Jetta showed that top-notch engineering can also deliver top-notch ownership cost performance, resulting in the Vincentric Best Value in America Award for 2012.
