2012 Hyundai Elantra

The Hyundai Elantra took down 13 competitors, including the six time segment winner, Honda Civic, to bring the 2012 Vincentric Best Value in America to the Hyundai trophy case. What tipped the scale? Key components were its best-in-class fuel and operating costs along with a cost-of-ownership that was 6% lower than expected. The Nissan Versa and the Honda Civic were not far behind, thanks to their low maintenance costs.

Cost-of-Ownership Compared to Segment Averages

The Vincentric Best Value in America awards are based on the model level average of all trim levels within the model. Ownership costs for each trim level are measured at annual mileages of 10,000, 15,000, and 20,000.
