Vincentric Announces Inaugural Best CPO Value in Canada™ Awards; Honda, Audi, Lexus, and Ford Take Top CPO Honors


TORONTO, Ontario – March 27th, 2018 – The inaugural Vincentric Best Certified Pre-Owned Value in Canada™ awards were announced today, with Honda topping the winners list with brand awards in both the Passenger Car and the SUV, Crossover, & Van categories in addition to 4 model specific awards. Ford was honored with a brand award in the Truck category while on the luxury side, Audi took home the brand award in the Luxury Car category while Lexus earned the brand award in the Luxury SUV & Crossover category.


Along with the brand awards, Vincentric announced model level segment awards. In addition to Honda, Ford, Audi, and Lexus, multiple Best CPO Value in Canada awards were won by Acura, Kia, Mazda, and Toyota.

To determine the 2018 Vincentric Best CPO Value in Canada™ award winners, Vincentric conducted a statistical analysis to reveal which vehicles had lower than expected ownership costs given their market segment and price. Vincentric analyzed over 11,000 vehicle configurations using eight cost factors: depreciation, fees and taxes, financing, fuel, insurance, maintenance, opportunity cost, and repairs. The costs were measured after incorporating the specific CPO warranty offered by the manufacturer while also applying driving distance requirements necessary to be authorized as an OEM CPO vehicle. Each CPO vehicle was evaluated in all ten provinces plus the Northwest Territories, with the assumption that each vehicle is driven 20,000 kilometers annually over five years.
