2013 BEST FLEET VALUE IN CANADA PRESS RELEASE

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

Vincentric Announces 2013 Best Fleet Value in Canada Awards; General Motors and Ford lead the way.

BINGHAM FARMS, Michigan –  July 17th, 2013 – The second annual Vincentric Best Fleet Value in Canada™ awards were announced today, with General Motors and Ford sharing the top spot, with each manufacturer earning seven fleet awards. Nissan also performed well, with five award-winning vehicles, followed by Mercedes-Benz, Toyota, and Chrysler, each capturing four awards.

The General Motors success was led by its rejuvenated Buick products, with the luxury brand taking home four awards, while the Ford success was helped by strong showing in the truck segments with the F-150 and F-250 both winning awards. Toyota demonstrated its strength in alternative fuel technology, winning all four segments associated with hybrid and plug-in hybrid vehicles. In the van market, the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter used its strong residual values and fuel efficiency to perform well for the second year in a row, taking top honors in all three segments in which it competes.

"As automotive manufacturers continue launching new products, it is more important than ever for Canadian fleet operators to have access to accurate, timely, fleet-specific total cost of ownership data", stated David Wurster, President of Vincentric. "This will provide organizations the insight they need to select fleet vehicles that provide specific functionality at the lowest possible cost," he added.

To determine the 2013 Vincentric Best Fleet Value in Canada awards, Vincentric analyzed over 1,800 vehicle configurations in 24 different lifecycle cost scenarios, using eight cost factors including depreciation, fees and taxes, financing, fuel, insurance, maintenance, opportunity cost, and repairs. The lifecycle costs were measured in all ten provinces, with the resulting 3,450,000+ lifecycle cost measurements then reviewed to determine the winning vehicles.
