Marketing Execs Wurster, Freed Form Automotive Information Company
NEW ORLEANS, LA – January 29, 2005 - David Wurster and Dave Freed, two automotive industry marketing executives, have announced at today’s National Automotive Dealer Association Conference the formation of Vincentric, a privately held automotive data compilation and analysis firm headquartered in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan.
Vincentric will focus on the compilation of high quality, niche data for the auto industry, and launches its business with an automotive Cost-of-Ownership database of nearly 4,000 vehicle configurations driving its initial product line. The database contains information from over 30 sources, and is refreshed each month using up-to-date residual values, fuel prices, interest rates and other factors involved in calculating vehicle lifecycle costs.
Wurster, formerly the publisher of Primedia’s IntelliChoice organization, said it is an excellent time to launch a business that uses data to provide new insights to industry leaders. “In today’s information age, there is plenty of raw data floating around”, commented Wurster. “Our compilation methodologies integrate this raw data to create actionable, valuable information for our clients.”
Wurster has teamed with Freed, a former Senior Vice President at R.L. Polk & Co. to bring the organization to fruition. “In addition to the industry reports we publish and the data we license, we are nimble and entrepreneurial enough to produce custom data analyses that don't fit the ‘sweet spot’ of existing providers," added Freed.
The Vincentric sales team will focus on OEMs, Dealers, and the Fleet Industry.
